Frequently Asked Questions
I recently attended The New Efficiencylaunch event held by Microsoft, where I received a Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit DVD. How do I get a 64-bit media?
Please email your address & phone number to tne64@microsoft.com. We will send the 64-bit disk without a new product key within two weeks. Please keep the product key that came with your 32-bit DVD.
If Ive already activated the key that came with the 32-bit disk, can I still use it to activate the 64-bit installation?
Yes, you can if youre re-installing on the same machine.
Since Im getting a 64-bit disk, can I just discard the 32-bit that I got?
No. Please keep the original packaging of your 32-bit disk because youll need the product key to activate your 64-bit installation.
Ive sent my 32-bit disk back to Microsoft for an exchange, will I get a new 64-bit disk with key?
Yes, we will send you a 64-bit disk with product key when we receive your 32-bit disk.
According to my shipment tracking, the 32-bit disk I sent has arrived at Microsoft. Why havent I received my 64-bit disk?
Your disk was sent to a Microsoft mailing center. It would take a few more days for the disk to get routed to us for processing. Given the volume were dealing with, we do batch shipping, so it may take 10-14 days before you receive your 64-bit disk.
By which shipping method do you send the 64-bit disk?
We ship via UPS Ground which, depending on your location, may take up to 5 business days to deliver from the time we ship.
I emailed tne64@microsoft.com over a week ago, but have not received a response. Will I ever get a response?
Yes, you will get a response. Theres a backlog of requests, which are being processed as quickly as possible in the order they came in. Please be assured that you will get a response. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
